Californial Judges Ignore Public Vote on Gay Marriage
The California Supreme court overturned the state law banning gay marriage recently, saying they planned to allow gays to marry on June 17. It was the latest instance of activist judges bypassing the legistlature and majority rule to impose their values on the public. Pro-family groups quickly got enough signitures to put it on the ballot to make it a Constitutional ammendment, but the same judges ruled they were going to allow marriages June 17 and not permit any delay. They hope people will just accept it by the election time, but it could backfire and turn out the Conservative vote, which would actually hurt Obama's chances in November. See Chick's SIN CITY.
