Obama Quits Race-baiting Church

Senator Barack Obama quit his church of 20 years after a visiting Catholic Priest (Michael Pfleger) created another controversy by making new race-baiting comments from the pulpit. Obama made clear he wasn't happy with Pfleger's comments — in which the Catholic priest pretended he was Clinton crying over "a black man stealing my show" — and said he was "deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger's divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn't reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together in common cause." Earlier, Rev. Wright made even worse inflammatory remarks, claiming the US government started AIDS and pushed drugs on blacks. (Wright was Obama's minister for over a decade, and Obama named his book after Wright's sermon, "the Audacity of Hope").
