Mormon Wins GOP Straw Vote

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won an easy and expected victory in a high-profile Iowa Republican Party Straw Poll. The Mormon spent millions and campaigned hard to secure the victory, hoping to show he can win in a party that has large numbers of Evangelical Christians. But he has other baggage as well. His state is the only one to allow same sex marriage and he personally signed the bill that socialized health insurance there. The other major GOP contenders skipped the poll altogether.
