Chickcomics.com welcomes all opinions from any religion or viewpoint in the common appreciation of Chick tracts. This blog, however, will highlight religious events and controversies that would be of special interest to regular Chick readers. You don't have to agree with them or each other, but if you read Chick tracts or Battlecry, you might expect these type stories to be addressed. (Sorry, no personal attacks allowed.) Judge Orders DNA tests on Mormon Kids

The judge presiding in the child custody case of over 400 children taken from a fundy Mormon compound ruled that the children need DNA testing to sort out just who the parents really are. The child welfare officers have been getting evasive and conflicting answers. Law enforcement officers raided the Yearning For Zion Ranch on April 3. The raid was prompted by calls made to a family violence shelter, purportedly by a 16-year-old girl who said her 50-year-old husband beat and raped her. That girl has never been identified. Meanwhile, one of the polygamist men said that "many of us perhaps were not even aware of such a law (making it illegal for adult men to have sex with girls under age 18). And we do reconsider, yes. We teach our children to obey the law." (While you're at it, you might also teach them to obey the law that makes it illegal to have more than one wife, bud!)
