Chilean President Discharges Grandson of Penochete

The Chilean Socialist President discharged the grandson of Penochete from the military, because he praised his grandfather at the former Dictator's funeral. The left wing leader claimed it was an insult to the military, because the young man said Penochete saved the country from Marxism, and the grandson is also an Army officer. Penochete did prevent a Marxist takeover of Chile with a military coup, which is said to have killed 3,000 Marxist in the process. However, when compared to the numbers of civilians murdered by Marxist when they took control of other countries, it was a drop in the bucket.
