Portland Catholics Reach Sex Abuse Settlement

Portland Oregon archdiocese gets agreement with all but 20 claimants over sexual abuse (of mostly teenaged males by gay priests). The multimillion dollar settlement has not been disclosed publicly, but the churches do not want open trials and they are paying dearly to avoid it. However, they are also threatening bankruptcy, so lawyers have pressure not to overreach. See Chick's ALBERTO.
