Trick-or-Treater Shot dead

A 12-year-old black boy was shot and killed as the knocked on the door in Sumpter, South Carolina, for Halloween candy. His father and 9-year-old brother were also hit, but not killed. The killer, a 22-year-old black man, said he had been shot and robbed in the past, and didn't want to get victimized again. It doesn't explain why he didn't look out the door before blindly firing dozens of rounds from his assault rifle. See Chick's Happy Halloween.
