UK teacher sent home from Sudan

The UK woman who was sentenced to 15 days in prison for naming her class teddy bear "Muhammad" was released and sent home today (deported). I'm curious how many foreigners move to Sudan, and of the few that do, why they deport them for such trivial reasons. Perhaps we need to start deporting an equal % for more valid reasons, like overstaying their visas and taking US jobs without paying taxes and social security.
