Portugal Socialists Plan On Legalizing Abortion

The new Socialists government of Portugal held a vote on allowing Abortion (which is currently illegal). The election failed to get enough voters to make the result valid, but of those who did vote, the pro-abortion people had a majority and the Socialists said they would legalize Abortion anyway. Iran Fingered For Supplying Weapons To Iraq

High tech weapons used against our troops and supplied by Iran caused controversy today. The White House demanded Iran stop supplying the weapons while Democrats leaped to the defense of Iran. Senator Chris Dodd said he didn't believe the President and that he's only doing to do it to justify war against Iran. Meanwhile, Senator Obamma denounced the Prime Minister of Australia who pointed out that terrorists would want Obamma to win the Presidential race, since he's already promised to retreat from Iraq. Germany Considers Releasing Terrorists Who Killed 9

Germany seriously considers letting lose Red Army Terrorists who executed nine civilians about 25 years ago. The Red Army was a fanatic Marxist group, and now that the socialists are running Germany, many are urging the life sentences be commuted to they be released. Family members of those who were kidnapped and shot behind the ear are urging otherwise. See Chick's WHO CARES.

NPR hosts Transexual Call-In Show

Today NPR hosted a program where transexuals called in to talk about how wonderful it was to switch genders and complain about how it was before they changed. The Talk Of The Nation program spent nearly an hour on the subject. Public Radio is subsidized with tax payer's money, but they didn't seem to worry about any fall out offending the audience. Of course, they won't run any programs promoting Christian values or anything like that (it might offend someone) but when it comes to something like transgender values, they're all for free speech! Haw-haw-haw! Read Chick's WOUNDED CHILDREN.

John Edwards Off Message

Senator John Edwards appeared on the Diane Rehm (NPR) radio show to promote his book and his bid for the Presidency. But in a surprising act of candor, he admitted the Bush administration did not lie about Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in the lead up of the war. A caller had called in making the popular Democratic allegation, asking why the liars in the administration had not been punished for misleading Edwards and other Senators into believing Iraq had WMD. Edwards said he had checked with Clinton administration contacts and that they confirmed the belief Iraq had WMD, and that's why he voted to support the invasion. This information is in stark contrast to what other Democrats have suggested (like Senator Chuck Schumer did on the same program yesterday), that the administration lied about WMD to trick Senators into approving the war. But if Schumer is lying about calling the administration liars, that makes Schumer a lying liar! (Which happens to be a the name of a book put out by Democrats to describe Republicans.) The Washington spin machine can really get tough to follow... See Chick's THE MAD MACHINE.

Superbowl Becomes Evangelism Opportunity

The Superbowl football game became an unexpected opportunity to evangelize for the head coach of the winning team. Networks had been hyping the event as a racial triumph, since the head coaches from both teams were black (a Superbowl first). But after the game, the coach for the Colts told reporters he didn't see it as a racial achievement, but as a Christian one, since both coaches were devout Christians.
